Earnings · Jio Platforms
Jio Platforms reports its first quarterly numbers since the 28 October 2026 listing. Here are the date, the base to beat, one reported estimate and the figures to read first.
Quick answer
Jio Platforms Q2 results are due on Friday, 30 October 2026, the company’s first as a listed firm. The base to beat is Rs 7,379 crore net profit in Q2 FY26 and Rs 7,764 crore in Q1 FY27, on a year-ago revenue of Rs 36,332 crore.
Latest update (Friday, 30 October 2026, 8:30 AM IST): The results are not out. Whalesbook and Upstox report a board meeting on 30 October with an analyst call after it; the filing time is not announced. This page becomes the live analysis after the filing.
Earlier entries:
- Wednesday, 28 October 2026, 4:17 PM IST: Whalesbook reported the company told the exchanges of a 30 October board meeting for the September quarter.
- Tuesday, 27 October 2026, 8:30 PM IST: Devdiscourse reported that Reliance Industries also meets on 30 October to approve its Q2 results.
Key takeaways
- Date: board meeting on Friday, 30 October 2026, with an analyst call after it, as reported from the exchange filing.
- Base to beat: Q2 FY26 consolidated net profit Rs 7,379 crore, revenue from operations Rs 36,332 crore, ARPU Rs 211.4.
- Last quarter: Q1 FY27 net profit Rs 7,764 crore (+9.2%), EBITDA margin 53.3%, ARPU Rs 215.6.
- One estimate: Elara Capital (7 October 2026) sees ARPU near Rs 218 and about 7.2 million additions. It is not a consensus.
- Timing trap: the quarter ended before the IPO opened, so the issue proceeds are a later event.
In plain words: A results preview is a checklist made before the numbers arrive. It shows what last year and last quarter looked like, so you can judge the new figures in minutes and not trust a headline.
Data note: Figures are as of Friday, 30 October 2026, 8:30 AM IST. The results date comes from two secondary reports of the exchange filing; the filing itself was not opened for this page. Base figures are company results as reported by PTI, Inc42, Free Press Journal and Upstox. The estimate is from one broker. Derived numbers are my calculation.

When are the Jio Platforms Q2 results?
The Jio Platforms Q2 results date is Friday, 30 October 2026. The board meets that day to approve standalone and consolidated unaudited results for the quarter and half-year ended 30 September 2026, and an analyst call follows.
Whalesbook reported at 4:17 PM IST on Wednesday, 28 October 2026 that the company had told the exchanges about the meeting. Upstox, citing a Reliance Industries stock exchange filing, gave the same date. Neither report names the filing reference, so confirm the date on the BSE or NSE announcement page.
The time of the filing is not announced. Last year Reliance and Jio released their Q2 numbers on the evening of Friday, 17 October 2025, and reports appeared after midnight. An evening release is plausible this year, but it is not confirmed.
What will the board approve?
The board will approve unaudited standalone and consolidated results for the September quarter and for the half-year. The headline figure is the consolidated one. SEBI’s listing regulations give listed companies 45 days after quarter-end, which is 14 November 2026 for this quarter (my calculation), so 30 October sits well inside the limit.

What is the base to beat for the Jio Platforms Q2 results?
The base to beat is Q2 FY26 consolidated net profit of Rs 7,379 crore and revenue from operations of Rs 36,332 crore, plus last quarter’s Rs 7,764 crore profit and Rs 39,173 crore revenue.
| Measure (consolidated) | Q1 FY26 (Jun 2025) | Q2 FY26 (Sep 2025) | Q1 FY27 (Jun 2026) |
|---|---|---|---|

What was the Jio Platforms Q2 net profit last year?
The Jio Platforms Q2 net profit for FY26 was Rs 7,379 crore on a consolidated basis, up 12.8% on the year, as reported by PTI.
Here is the first useful sum. Q1 FY27 profit of Rs 7,764 crore is already +5.2% above Q2 FY26’s Rs 7,379 crore (7,764 divided by 7,379, my calculation). So a flat quarter would still show about 5% growth on last year. A headline of 9% or more needs a sequential rise.
Compare year on year, not quarter on quarter. Q4 FY26 profit was Rs 7,935 crore, so Q1 FY27 fell 2.2% sequentially while rising 9.2% on the year. A telecom business changes slowly, but sequential moves still mislead when one quarter has one-off items.
Why is the Q2 FY26 EBITDA missing from the table?
The PTI report on Q2 FY26 gives profit, revenue, ARPU and subscribers but not EBITDA. The company’s own release for that quarter does; Reliance published it as the Reliance Q2 FY2025-26 media release. This page does not print a figure it could not verify.
What do analysts expect from Jio in the Q2 results?
One broker note found for this page, from Elara Capital dated 7 October 2026, expects Jio ARPU near Rs 218 and about 7.2 million mobile additions, with double-digit revenue and EBITDA growth. That is a single estimate, not a consensus.
| Item | Reported estimate | Source and date | Base and note |
|---|---|---|---|
| ARPU | About Rs 218 (+1% quarter on quarter, +3% year on year) | Elara Capital, 7 Oct 2026, via Business Today | Against Rs 215.6 and Rs 211.4: +1.1% and +3.1% (my calculation) |
| Mobile net additions | About 7.2 million | Elara Capital, 7 Oct 2026 | Q1 FY27 was 8.9 million; Q2 FY26 was 8.3 million |
| Revenue and EBITDA growth | Double-digit, no rupee figure | Elara Capital, 7 Oct 2026 | The note gives no exact number |
| Tariff hike | None assumed by Elara; Motilal Oswal expects one after the IPO | Business Today, 7 Oct 2026 | Timing is uncertain |
Cite this table: PositionalCalls, “Jio Q2 FY27 Reported Estimates, as of 30 October 2026”.
Why the Jio ARPU Q2 FY27 estimate matters
Margin is already high at 53.3%, so growth has to come from price and mix. Elara notes that a Rs 300 Prime membership gives price protection on eligible plans until 5 September 2027, which limits the benefit of any tariff hike for enrolled users. Read the ARPU line first when the filing appears.
What does TRAI data say about the quarter?
Upstox, citing TRAI data for September 2026, reported that Reliance Jio added 27.13 lakh wireless subscribers, reaching 51.11 crore and a 39.32% share, against 26.92 lakh additions for Bharti Airtel. TRAI counts and company-reported net additions follow different definitions, so do not compare the two directly.
Estimates also carry a base. A growth rate quoted against profit that includes minority interest differs from one quoted against profit attributable to owners. When a headline says “up 10%”, ask which base the number uses before you compare it with the table above.
What could Jio Platforms Q2 FY27 look like? Revenue and profit scenarios
These are arithmetic scenarios, not forecasts. If revenue grows 2.4% over Q1, as it did in Q1 FY27, Q2 FY27 revenue would be about Rs 40,113 crore, up +10.4% on Q2 FY26.
Assumptions: consolidated revenue from operations; start point Rs 39,173 crore (Q1 FY27); year-on-year growth measured against Rs 36,332 crore (Q2 FY26).
| Change over Q1 FY27 | Q2 FY27 revenue, Rs crore | Growth on Q2 FY26 |
|---|---|---|
| 0.0% | 39,173 | +7.8% |
| +1.0% | 39,565 | +8.9% |
| +2.4% | 40,113 | +10.4% |
| +3.7% | 40,622 | +11.8% |
Cite this table: PositionalCalls, “Jio Q2 FY27 Revenue Scenarios, as of 30 October 2026”.
Assumptions for profit: start point Rs 7,764 crore (Q1 FY27); Q2 FY26 profit Rs 7,379 crore; first-half FY26 profit Rs 14,489 crore (Rs 7,110 crore plus Rs 7,379 crore).
| Change over Q1 FY27 | Q2 FY27 profit, Rs crore | Growth on Q2 FY26 | H1 FY27, Rs crore | H1 growth |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| -2% | 7,609 | +3.1% | 15,373 | +6.1% |
| 0% | 7,764 | +5.2% | 15,528 | +7.2% |
| +2% | 7,919 | +7.3% | 15,683 | +8.2% |
| +4% | 8,075 | +9.4% | 15,839 | +9.3% |
Cite this table: PositionalCalls, “Jio Q2 FY27 Profit and Half-Year Scenarios, as of 30 October 2026”.
Three worked examples
- Flat profit: 7,764 divided by 7,379 gives +5.2% on the year. The half-year would be 7,764 plus 7,764, or Rs 15,528 crore, which is +7.2% on Rs 14,489 crore.
- Matching Q1’s growth pace: 7,379 times 1.092 gives about Rs 8,058 crore. That is +3.8% above Q1 FY27, so the quarter would need a sequential rise.
- EBITDA illustration: Rs 40,113 crore revenue at a 53.3% margin gives about Rs 21,380 crore, +2.5% over Q1 FY27’s Rs 20,865 crore.
| EBITDA margin | Illustrative EBITDA, Rs crore | Change on Q1 FY27 (Rs 20,865 crore) |
|---|---|---|
| 52.5% | 21,059 | +0.9% |
| 53.3% | 21,380 | +2.5% |
| 54.0% | 21,661 | +3.8% |
Margin sensitivity is large. Moving from 52.5% to 54.0% on the same revenue changes EBITDA by about Rs 600 crore. The table is an illustration with stated inputs, not a prediction of the company’s figure.
Which Jio profit and revenue figure should you compare?
Compare consolidated net profit with consolidated net profit, and revenue from operations with revenue from operations. Jio publishes several figures that look alike but differ by thousands of crore.
| Figure | Q2 FY26, Rs crore | Q1 FY27, Rs crore | The trap |
|---|---|---|---|
| Consolidated net profit | 7,379 | 7,764 | The headline; use it for year-on-year growth |
| Reliance Jio Infocomm profit | 6,972 | Not confirmed in sources | The telecom subsidiary, not the listed parent |
| Revenue from operations | 36,332 | 39,173 | The base for growth rates and margins |
| Gross revenue | 42,652 | 45,961 | Higher by about Rs 6,320 and Rs 6,788 crore; never mix with operations revenue |
| Standalone results | Not given in sources | Not given in sources | The parent’s own statement, not the group |
Cite this table: PositionalCalls, “Jio Platforms Definition-Trap Table, as of 30 October 2026”.
Reliance Jio Infocomm reported revenue from operations of Rs 31,857 crore in Q2 FY26 against Jio Platforms’ Rs 36,332 crore. The two are different bases. A page that quotes the subsidiary’s profit as the parent’s profit is wrong by about Rs 400 crore for that quarter.
Restated IPO numbers versus quarterly releases
Our Jio IPO guide used restated figures from the RHP. Do not mix them with quarterly releases. This page uses the releases as reported. A quick consistency check: Q1 FY27 profit of Rs 7,764 crore divided by Q1 FY26 profit of Rs 7,110 crore gives +9.2%, the same growth Inc42 reported, so the two bases line up.
Which margin base is used?
The 53.3% EBITDA margin for Q1 FY27 is EBITDA of Rs 20,865 crore over revenue from operations of Rs 39,173 crore (my calculation: 53.27%). Gross revenue would give a lower margin. Use one base in every comparison.

What is Jio ARPU and why does Rs 1 matter?
ARPU is average revenue per user per month. Jio’s was Rs 211.4 in Q2 FY26 and Rs 215.6 in Q1 FY27. By my rough calculation, each Rs 1 of ARPU is worth about Rs 160 crore a quarter on 533.3 million customers.
ARPU, short for average revenue per user, is revenue from subscribers divided by the average number of users, per month. It rises with tariff increases, a shift to bigger plans and more 5G and home broadband customers. It falls when many low-value users join.
| Quarter | ARPU, Rs per month | Change | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Q1 FY26 (Jun 2025) | 208.8 | Base | Free Press Journal |
| Q2 FY26 (Sep 2025) | 211.4 | +8.4% on Rs 195.1 a year earlier | PTI |
| Q1 FY27 (Jun 2026) | 215.6 | +3.3% on the year (my calculation) | Inc42, Upstox |
| Q2 FY27 estimate | About 218 | +1% on the quarter, +3% on the year | Elara Capital, 7 Oct 2026 |
Cite this table: PositionalCalls, “Jio ARPU Path, as of 30 October 2026”.
Worked example: an ARPU of Rs 218 against Rs 215.6 is Rs 2.4 higher. Multiplied by about Rs 160 crore per rupee, the upside is roughly Rs 384 crore a quarter. This is a rough illustration. ARPU is measured on mobile users and the 533.3 million figure includes all customers, so the true effect will differ.
What else sits beside ARPU?
Inc42 and Upstox reported these Q1 FY27 operating figures: 533.3 million customers after 8.9 million net additions, about 285 million 5G users, 14 million JioAirFiber homes, 28.6 million fixed broadband customers and monthly churn of 1.6%. Digital services revenue rose 20% on the year. Q2 should show whether additions and churn held.
What does the listing change for the Jio Platforms Q2 results?
The listing means every quarterly number can now move a market price. But the Q2 numbers still describe a quarter that ended on 30 September 2026, before the IPO opened on 21 October.
The Rs 30,213 crore issue was a fresh issue of 27 crore shares at Rs 1,119 and closed 22.19 times subscribed. Shares listed at Rs 1,358, a 21.36% premium, and PTI put the market value at the listing at Rs 12,57,401 crore. Headlines on 28 October reported a strong first-day close; the exchange closing figure was not confirmed for this page. See the listing and allotment guide for the day-one record.
Why do Jio Platforms results after listing matter more?
Before listing, the price was fixed once, at Rs 1,119. After listing, the market sets it every minute, and each quarterly figure feeds the earnings side of the valuation sum. That raises the weight of ARPU, margin and profit growth.
Will the IPO money show up in Q2?
Jio planned to use up to Rs 27,500 crore of the proceeds to repay borrowings of Reliance Jio Infocomm, according to the DRHP as reported by Outlook Money. The money arrived after 30 September, so any saving on interest should appear in later quarters. The Q2 filing may mention the issue as an event after the period. Check the notes to the accounts.
What is Reliance’s stake after the IPO?
Before the issue Reliance held 66.43% of 893.9 crore shares, about 593.8 crore shares. The fresh issue added 27 crore shares, making 920.9 crore. Reliance’s stake is therefore about 64.5% (593.8 divided by 920.9, my calculation). Confirm it in the shareholding pattern filed after listing.
What is the valuation context?
At Rs 1,358 and FY26 diluted EPS of Rs 33.59 (from the RHP, as used in our IPO guide), the price was about 40.4 times earnings (my calculation). Results change the earnings side of that sum. This page does not say whether that level is cheap or dear. Use the numbers to judge it against your own goals, and read the tax rules in our guide to capital gains tax on shares before you act on any gain.
How do the Jio Platforms Q2 results connect to Reliance Industries?
Reliance Industries also holds its Q2 board meeting on Friday, 30 October 2026, and consolidates Jio as a subsidiary, so read the two filings together.
Devdiscourse reported on 27 October 2026 that Reliance’s board will approve unaudited results and consider raising money through non-convertible debentures. Jio’s ARPU, margin and capital spending feed straight into Reliance’s telecom segment. Our Reliance Q2 results FY27 preview carries the Reliance base figures, and the Q2 results calendar lists the other companies reporting this season.
| Company | Board approves | Base reported for Q2 FY26 | Trap |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jio Platforms Limited | Standalone and consolidated results, then an analyst call | Net profit Rs 7,379 crore; revenue from operations Rs 36,332 crore | Do not use the subsidiary’s Rs 6,972 crore |
| Reliance Industries | Standalone and consolidated results, plus a debenture fundraise to be considered | Attributable net profit Rs 18,165 crore (Business Today); profit before minority interest Rs 22,146 crore (India.com) | Two profit lines; check which one a headline uses |

How to read the filing on NSE or BSE
Open the exchange announcement, find the consolidated statement and compare each line with the base table above, same measure, same basis.
- Open the BSE corporate announcements page or the NSE corporate filings page and search for Jio Platforms Limited.
- Choose the announcement titled outcome of board meeting for the quarter ended 30 September 2026.
- Find the consolidated statement first, then the standalone one.
- Check the unit. Some filings use Rs million; Rs 10 million equals Rs 1 crore.
- Note whether profit is before or after minority interest.
- Read the notes for events after the period and segment information.
- Compare revenue, profit, EBITDA and ARPU with the base table.
- Wait for the analyst call or presentation for ARPU and subscriber details.
What it costs: reading a filing is free. If you trade the stock, brokerage, securities transaction tax and other charges apply, so check your broker’s current schedule. Tax angle: gains follow capital gains rules, so check the current rules or ask a tax adviser. NRI note: NRIs should confirm holding rules in our guide to NRI investment in the Indian stock market. Scam warning: on results day, fake “result alert” groups and sure-shot tips circulate. Nobody can guarantee a gain, and official filings are free.
What is the results-day checklist for Jio Platforms?
- Confirm the board meeting date on the BSE or NSE announcement page.
- Note the filing time and use it to stamp what you read.
- Open the consolidated statement before any headline.
- Compare net profit with Rs 7,379 crore and Rs 7,764 crore.
- Compare revenue from operations, not gross revenue.
- Check EBITDA margin on the same base as 53.3%.
- Read ARPU against Rs 215.6 and the Rs 218 estimate.
- Read the notes for the IPO and the debt repayment plan.
- Write your own plan before the price moves.
What are the risks around Jio’s first results as a listed company?
What do most people miss on Jio Platforms results day?
- The IPO money is a later story. The quarter ended on 30 September; the issue closed on 23 October.
- A flat quarter already shows about 5% growth. Year-on-year numbers start from Rs 7,379 crore.
- Two Reliance profit lines exist. Rs 18,165 crore and Rs 22,146 crore both describe Q2 FY26.
- Gross revenue is not operations revenue. The gap was about Rs 6,320 crore in Q2 FY26.
- The filing time is unknown. Avoid acting on an unconfirmed screenshot.
Analyst’s note: how to think about this quarter
- What stands out (reasoning): margin is already 53.3%, so ARPU, additions and broadband mix carry growth.
- Easy to miss: interest savings from the IPO appear in later quarters, not Q2.
- What would change the view: ARPU well above Rs 218 without a tariff rise, or margin below 52%.
- Caution: one quarter does not fix a long-term value. This page gives no target or recommendation.
- Reader action: read the consolidated figures first and match each line to the base table.
Bottom line
Known: the board meets on 30 October 2026; the base is Rs 7,379 crore profit and Rs 36,332 crore revenue, and Q1 FY27 was Rs 7,764 crore and Rs 39,173 crore.
Not known yet: the filing time, the actual figures and any consensus estimate.

Jio Platforms Q2 results: frequently asked questions
When are the Jio Platforms Q2 results?
The Jio Platforms Q2 results are due on Friday, 30 October 2026. The board meets that day to approve standalone and consolidated unaudited results for the quarter and half-year ended 30 September 2026, and an analyst call follows. The filing time is not announced; confirm on the BSE or NSE announcement page.
What was the Jio Platforms Q2 net profit in FY26?
Jio Platforms reported consolidated net profit of Rs 7,379 crore in Q2 FY26, up 12.8% year on year, on revenue from operations of Rs 36,332 crore, as reported by PTI. Reliance Jio Infocomm, the telecom subsidiary, reported a separate profit of Rs 6,972 crore.
What did Jio Platforms report in Q1 FY27?
For the June 2026 quarter, Inc42 reported net profit of Rs 7,764 crore (up 9.2% year on year), revenue from operations of Rs 39,173 crore and EBITDA of Rs 20,865 crore at a 53.3% margin. ARPU was Rs 215.6 per month.
What ARPU do analysts expect in the Jio Platforms Q2 results?
One broker note, from Elara Capital dated 7 October 2026, expects Jio ARPU near Rs 218, about 1% above Q1 FY27 and 3% above Q2 FY26, with about 7.2 million mobile additions. It is a single estimate, not a consensus.
Are these the first Jio Platforms Q2 results since the listing?
Yes. Shares listed on NSE and BSE on 28 October 2026 at Rs 1,358. But the quarter ended on 30 September 2026, before the IPO opened on 21 October, so the Rs 30,213 crore issue proceeds are a later event that the filing may mention only in its notes.
Nobody can say in advance. Results are one input beside tariffs, valuation and market mood. At the Rs 1,358 listing price the stock was about 40x FY26 diluted earnings per share (my calculation), so the earnings figure matters. This page gives no target or advice.
How do the Jio Platforms Q2 results affect Reliance Industries?
Reliance Industries holds its own Q2 board meeting on 30 October 2026 and consolidates Jio as a subsidiary, so Jio’s revenue, margin and ARPU feed Reliance’s numbers. After the IPO, Reliance’s stake is about 64.5% by my calculation; confirm it in the listing shareholding pattern.
Where can I read the Jio Platforms Q2 results filing?
Use the BSE corporate announcements page or the NSE corporate filings page and search for Jio Platforms Limited. Open the outcome of board meeting PDF. Ignore forwarded “result alert” images and any message that promises sure-shot calls.
What is the difference between Jio Platforms and Reliance Jio Infocomm profit?
Jio Platforms is the listed parent. Its consolidated profit includes Reliance Jio Infocomm, the telecom subsidiary, and the digital services businesses. In Q2 FY26 the figures were Rs 7,379 crore and Rs 6,972 crore. Compare like with like.
By when must Jio Platforms publish its Q2 results?
SEBI’s listing regulations give listed companies 45 days after quarter-end for quarterly results. For the quarter ended 30 September 2026 that is 14 November 2026 (my calculation), so the 30 October board meeting is well inside the limit.
