Zydus Lifesciences is listed to report its September-quarter numbers on 4 November 2026. Here are the date check, the high profit and margin base, the Q1 fall in profit, the figures that differ across sources, and the lines to read first.
Quick answer
Zydus Lifesciences Q2 results are listed for Wednesday, 4 November 2026 in one weekly list. The base to beat is about Rs 1,259 crore profit (up 38%) and a margin near 33% in Q2 FY26. Q1 FY27 profit fell 36% to Rs 939.8 crore on a 24.1% margin, so the base is high.
Latest update (Sunday, 1 November 2026, 4:20 PM IST): The results are not out. Kotak Neo’s weekly list shows Zydus Lifesciences for Wednesday, 4 November; the date rests on that one report and the filing time is not announced. This page becomes the live analysis after the filing.

In plain words: Before the Zydus Lifesciences Q2 results arrive, remember that the company sells medicines in the United States, India and other markets, and also makes consumer products and medical devices. Last September was an unusually profitable quarter, so the comparison is hard. A preview tells you which figures to hold the new numbers against.
Data note: Figures are as of Sunday, 1 November 2026, 4:20 PM IST. The results date comes from one weekly list; the filing itself was not opened for this page. Base figures are company results as reported by Upstox, Business Standard, Kotak Neo and Free Press Journal. Where sources differ I say so. Derived numbers are my calculation.

When are the Zydus Lifesciences Q2 results?
The Zydus Lifesciences Q2 results date is listed as Wednesday, 4 November 2026. The date rests on one weekly list, so confirm it on the exchange page.
Kotak Neo’s weekly list, posted at 6:00 PM IST on 30 October 2026, names Zydus Lifesciences among Wednesday’s results, and says dates are based on announced board-meeting schedules and may change. I found no second report that quotes the intimation, so treat the date as likely but unconfirmed.
Last year the company reported its Q2 FY26 numbers on Thursday, 6 November 2025, and Q1 FY27 on Tuesday, 11 August 2026 during market hours. The filing time is not announced. Do not trust a screenshot that claims a time before the exchange page shows it.
What will Zydus Lifesciences publish?
Zydus Lifesciences will publish unaudited consolidated and standalone results for the quarter and half-year ended 30 September 2026, with a press release and an investor presentation. The presentation carries the segment sales, R&D spend and EBITDA that the headline figures leave out.

What is the base to beat for the Zydus Lifesciences Q2 results?
The base to beat is about Rs 1,259 crore profit on revenue of about Rs 6,123 crore and a margin near 33%, against Rs 939.8 crore, Rs 8,017 crore and 24.1% in Q1 FY27.

|---|---|---|---|
| Revenue from operations, Rs crore | 5,305 | 6,123 (Upstox, +15%); 6,037.9 (Business Standard) | 8,017 (+22%) |

Zydus Lifesciences EBITDA Q2 FY27: the flat-quarter sum
Here is the first useful sum. Q1 FY27 revenue of Rs 8,017 crore is +30.9% above Q2 FY26’s Rs 6,123 crore, but Q1 EBITDA of Rs 1,929.4 crore is -4.4% against Rs 2,018 crore and Q1 profit of Rs 939.8 crore is -25.3% against Rs 1,258.6 crore (my calculations). A flat Q2 would therefore show a fall in profit even with much higher revenue.
How was the Q2 FY26 base built?
Upstox reported R&D spend of Rs 482 crore (7.9% of revenue) and segment sales led by US formulations at Rs 2,744 crore (up 14% year on year, down 14% on the previous quarter), India formulations at Rs 1,593 crore and consumer wellness at Rs 637 crore (up 31%). The margin was about 33.0% (2,018 divided by 6,123, my calculation), the highest of the periods in the table.
The margin gap is large: Q2 FY26 was 8.9 points above Q1 FY27 on these figures (my calculation). That gap, and not revenue, is what decides the profit comparison.
Zydus Lifesciences Q2 results preview: what to expect
No consensus estimate was found for Q2 FY27. The preview rests on the base figures and on what changed in Q1 FY27: revenue rose, but costs and the margin moved the other way.
| Item | What was reported | Source and date | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Q1 FY27 revenue | Rs 8,017 crore, +22% YoY, +5.7% QoQ | Free Press Journal; Kotak Neo, 11 Aug 2026 | Includes new subsidiaries |
| Q1 FY27 expenses | Rs 6,798.3 crore, up about 41% YoY | Free Press Journal | Faster than revenue |
| Q1 FY27 exceptional items | Net expense of Rs 18.2 crore | Free Press Journal | Severance, settlements, one receipt |
| Q1 FY27 profit vs estimate | Rs 940 crore against about Rs 1,000 crore estimated | Sahi headline | One estimate; basis not stated |
| Consensus Q2 estimate | None found | Not applicable | Do not read Q1 as a forecast |

Management said FY27 was off to a strong, profitable start, and that the branded portfolio now exceeds 55% of revenue, according to Kotak Neo. The injectable facility at Zydus Biotech Park received a Voluntary Action Indicated classification after an inspection in April and May 2026, which is a regulatory status and not a profit item.
Zydus Lifesciences net profit Q2 FY27: what to expect
Free Press Journal reported that Assertio Holdings became a wholly owned subsidiary on 16 June 2026. If it was added to the accounts from that date, Q2 FY27 would carry a longer contribution than Q1 (my inference; check the filing). That could raise both revenue and costs, so read the margin and not the revenue line.
Kotak Neo reported the shares up as much as 5.4% to Rs 1,178.90 on the NSE on 11 August 2026, even though profit fell 36%. That was a reaction to what the market expected, not a forecast of Q2 FY27, and it says nothing about what the filing will show.
Zydus Lifesciences EBITDA and profit Q2 FY27: scenarios
These Zydus Lifesciences Q2 results scenarios are arithmetic, not forecasts. A flat Q1 EBITDA would be -4.4% on Q2 FY26.
Assumptions: consolidated; Q2 FY26 revenue Rs 6,123 crore and EBITDA Rs 2,018 crore; revenue growth of 25%, 30% and 35% is my illustration around Q1’s 30.9% rise over the Q2 FY26 base; margins of 24.0%, 27.0% and 30.0% run from the Q1 FY27 level toward last September’s level.
| Revenue growth on Q2 FY26 | EBITDA at 24.0% margin | EBITDA at 27.0% margin | EBITDA at 30.0% margin |
|---|---|---|---|
| +25% (Rs 7,654 crore) | Rs 1,837 crore (-9%) | Rs 2,067 crore (+2%) | Rs 2,296 crore (+14%) |
| +30% (Rs 7,960 crore) | Rs 1,910 crore (-5%) | Rs 2,149 crore (+7%) | Rs 2,388 crore (+18%) |
| +35% (Rs 8,266 crore) | Rs 1,984 crore (-2%) | Rs 2,232 crore (+11%) | Rs 2,480 crore (+23%) |
Cite this table: PositionalCalls, “Zydus Lifesciences Q2 FY27 EBITDA Scenarios, as of 1 November 2026”.
Profit scenarios
| Net profit change on Rs 1,258.6 crore | Net profit | Against Q1 FY27 (Rs 939.8 crore) |
|---|---|---|
| -30% | Rs 881 crore | -6% |
| -15% | Rs 1,070 crore | +14% |
| 0% | Rs 1,259 crore | +34% |
Cite this table: PositionalCalls, “Zydus Lifesciences Q2 FY27 Profit Scenarios, as of 1 November 2026”.
Three worked examples
- Margin as in Q1: revenue +30% is Rs 7,960 crore and a 24.0% margin gives EBITDA of Rs 1,910 crore, -5% on Rs 2,018 crore (my calculation).
- Margin halfway back: 27.0% gives Rs 2,149 crore, +7%.
- Margin as last September: 33.0% gives Rs 2,627 crore, +30%.
The scenarios hold other lines constant. In practice depreciation, interest, tax, exceptional items, minority share and the Assertio contribution sit between EBITDA and profit, and the margin can swing with the product mix.
Which Zydus Lifesciences figures should you compare?
When you compare the Zydus Lifesciences Q2 results with last year, match revenue with revenue from the same source. Q2 FY26 figures differ slightly across sources.
| Figure | Source A | Source B | The trap |
|---|---|---|---|
| Q2 FY26 revenue, Rs crore | 6,123 (Upstox, +15%) | 6,037.9 (Business Standard, +18.07%) | Different growth rates on different bases |
| Q2 FY26 EBITDA, Rs crore | 2,018 (+32%) | 2,015.8 (+37.9%) | Growth rates differ too |
| Q2 FY26 margin | 32.96% | 32.9% (vs 27.9%) | Prior-year margin differs: 28.84% or 27.9% |
| Q1 FY27 net profit, Rs crore | 939.8 (Kotak Neo; Free Press Journal) | 952 (Univest headline) | Different basis |
| Q1 FY27 EBITDA, Rs crore | 1,929.4 (Kotak Neo) | Not in Free Press Journal | Single source |
| Total income vs revenue, Q1 FY27 | 8,017 revenue from operations | 8,123 total income | Includes other income |
Cite this table: PositionalCalls, “Zydus Lifesciences Definition-Trap Table, as of 1 November 2026”.
The simplest rule is to take both periods from the same article or filing. A mixed comparison such as Rs 6,037.9 crore against Rs 8,017 crore would show +32.8% growth, while Rs 6,123 crore against Rs 8,017 crore shows +30.9% (my calculations).
EBITDA versus profit
EBITDA is earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation. It leaves out finance cost, depreciation, tax, exceptional items and minority share, so profit can move at a different rate. In Q1 FY27 EBITDA fell 7.6% while profit fell 36%.
The estimate base trap
A growth rate applied to Rs 1,258.6 crore and to a different base gives two different profits. Check which line and which quarter an estimate uses before you compare it with the table above.

What do the segments and costs need to show?
In the Zydus Lifesciences Q2 results, North America formulations at about 40% of Q1 revenue, India at 23% and consumer wellness at 18% are the mix to watch, along with costs.
| Line | Q2 FY26 | Q1 FY27 | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| US formulations | Rs 2,744 crore (45% of revenue; +14% YoY) | 40% of revenue | Upstox; Kotak Neo |
| India formulations | Rs 1,593 crore (26%; +8% YoY) | 23% of revenue | Upstox; Kotak Neo |
| International markets | Rs 751 crore (12%; +39% YoY) | 12% of revenue | Upstox; Kotak Neo |
| Consumer wellness | Rs 637 crore (11%; +31% YoY) | 18% of revenue (Rs 1,435.9 crore) | Upstox; Free Press Journal |
| Medtech | Rs 153 crore (3%) | Rs 283 crore (4%) | Business Standard; Free Press Journal |
| Total expenses | Not in sources | Rs 6,798.3 crore (+41% YoY) | Free Press Journal |
Cite this table: PositionalCalls, “Zydus Lifesciences Segment and Cost Marks, as of 1 November 2026”.
The mix shifted away from US formulations: 45% of revenue in Q2 FY26 against 40% in Q1 FY27 (my reading of the shares reported). Consumer wellness and medtech grew in share, which fits a broader business and a lower margin.
Watch whether US formulations recover from 40% of revenue, whether the branded share above 55% holds, and whether costs grow in line with revenue in Q2.

What are the risks around the Zydus Lifesciences Q2 results?
How to grade Zydus Lifesciences’s September-quarter numbers: a reading guide
Use the table to grade the Zydus Lifesciences Q2 results as a reading aid, not a forecast. The cut-offs are my illustration, built from the Q1 FY27 and Q2 FY26 marks.
Assumptions: consolidated; Q2 FY26 revenue Rs 6,123 crore, EBITDA Rs 2,018 crore and profit Rs 1,258.6 crore; Q1 FY27 is the lower mark.
| Mark | Stronger | In line | Weaker |
|---|---|---|---|
| Revenue growth on Q2 FY26 | Above 35% | 25% to 35% | Below 25% |
| EBITDA margin | Above 27% | 24% to 27% | Below 24% |
| EBITDA | Above Rs 2,100 crore | Rs 1,900 to 2,100 crore | Below Rs 1,900 crore |
| Net profit | Above Rs 1,100 crore | Rs 900 to 1,100 crore | Below Rs 900 crore |
| Exceptional items | Net gain | Small net expense | Large net expense |
Cite this table: PositionalCalls, “Zydus Lifesciences Q2 FY27 Reading Guide, as of 1 November 2026”.
Worked example: suppose revenue is Rs 8,200 crore, EBITDA Rs 2,050 crore and profit Rs 1,050 crore. Revenue would be up +33.9% (8,200 divided by 6,123), EBITDA +1.6% on Rs 2,018 crore, the margin 25.0% and profit -16.6% on Rs 1,258.6 crore (my calculation). Revenue would read stronger, EBITDA and margin stronger, and profit in line, even though profit is still below last September.
A strong reading describes the quarter only. It is not a signal to buy, sell or hold, and a weak one is not a signal either. Prices react to many things, including what the market already expected.
The guide to the Zydus Lifesciences Q2 results uses consolidated figures throughout. If a headline quotes standalone figures, compare them with a standalone base and say so when you share the number. Mixing the two is a common error on results day, because the company reports both.
What do most people miss on Zydus Lifesciences results day?
- Profit and margin are the test, not revenue. Revenue was up 22% in Q1 and profit fell 36%.
- The base is high. A margin near 33% against 24.1% in Q1.
- Sources differ slightly. Rs 6,123 and Rs 6,037.9 crore for the same quarter.
- The shares rose on a profit fall. Expectations mattered more than the headline.
- Acquisitions blur the comparison. A larger group means higher revenue and costs.
- The date is unconfirmed. Verify the Zydus Lifesciences Q2 results date before you plan around it.
Analyst’s note: how to think about this quarter
- What stands out (reasoning): revenue rose about 31% over the Q2 FY26 base in Q1 while EBITDA fell, so the margin is the line that decides the profit comparison.
- Easy to miss: year-on-year profit can fall even if revenue rises by 30% or more.
- What would change the view: an EBITDA margin below 24%, or a large exceptional expense.
- Caution: one quarter does not fix a long-term value. This page gives no target or recommendation.
- Reader action: read the same-source figures first and match each to the base table.
Bottom line
Known: Zydus Lifesciences is listed for 4 November 2026; the base is about Rs 1,259 crore profit and a margin near 33%, and Q1 FY27 was Rs 939.8 crore with revenue up 22%.

Zydus Lifesciences Q2 results: frequently asked questions
When are the Zydus Lifesciences Q2 results?
Zydus Lifesciences is listed to report on Wednesday, 4 November 2026 in Kotak Neo’s weekly list posted on 30 October, which says dates follow announced board meetings and may change. That is a single, partial-list source, so confirm on the BSE or NSE page. The filing time is not announced.
What was Zydus Lifesciences profit in Q2 FY26?
Business Standard and Upstox reported consolidated net profit of about Rs 1,259 crore (Rs 1,258.6 crore), up 38% from Rs 911 crore. EBITDA was about Rs 2,018 crore at a margin near 33%, up from 28% to 29% a year earlier.
What did Zydus Lifesciences report in Q1 FY27?
Kotak Neo reported net profit of Rs 939.8 crore, down 36% from Rs 1,466.8 crore, on revenue from operations of Rs 8,017 crore (up 22%). EBITDA was Rs 1,929.4 crore at a 24.1% margin, against 31.8% a year earlier.
Why did Zydus Lifesciences profit fall while revenue rose?
Total expenses rose about 41% in Q1 FY27 (Rs 6,798.3 crore against Rs 4,808 crore), and net exceptional expenses were Rs 18.2 crore, per Free Press Journal. The company also took over Assertio Holdings, which became a wholly owned subsidiary on 16 June 2026.
Is the Zydus Lifesciences Q2 FY26 profit base high?
Yes. Profit was up 38% and the EBITDA margin was near 33%. Q1 FY27 profit of Rs 939.8 crore is about 25% below the Q2 FY26 profit of Rs 1,258.6 crore (my calculation), so a flat Q1 would show a year-on-year fall.
Why do Zydus Lifesciences revenue and profit figures differ across sources?
Q2 FY26 revenue appears as Rs 6,123 crore (Upstox) and Rs 6,037.9 crore (Business Standard), and Q1 FY27 profit as Rs 939.8 crore (Kotak Neo, Free Press Journal) and Rs 952 crore (a Univest headline). Match each pair of figures to one source.
Kotak Neo reported the shares up as much as 5.4% to Rs 1,178.90 on the NSE on the Q1 FY27 results day, 11 August 2026. After Q2 FY26 results, Business Standard reported a fall of 2.12% to Rs 952.20. Those are reactions to expectations, not forecasts.
Do analysts have a Zydus Lifesciences Q2 profit estimate?
No consensus estimate for Q2 FY27 was found for this page. Sahi’s headline said Q1 FY27 profit missed an estimate of about Rs 1,000 crore. Treat any estimate as one house’s view and check the basis before comparing.
Where can I read the Zydus Lifesciences filing?
Use the BSE corporate announcements page or the NSE corporate filings page and search for Zydus Lifesciences. Open the results PDF and the investor presentation. Ignore forwarded “result alert” images and messages promising sure-shot calls.
By when must Zydus Lifesciences publish its Q2 results?
SEBI’s listing regulations give listed companies 45 days after quarter-end for quarterly results. For the quarter ended 30 September 2026 that is 14 November 2026 (my calculation). Last year the company reported on 6 November 2025.
