The Diwali Muhurat session is Sunday, 8 November 2026, 2:20 to 3:30 PM. Here are five names, ICICI Bank, DLF, Indian Hotels, Alembic Pharma and Bank Nifty, with their reported results, brokerage targets, key levels and risks.
Quick answer
Muhurat trading stocks 2026: the Diwali session runs on Sunday, 8 November 2026, 2:20 PM to 3:30 PM. This page tracks five names, ICICI Bank, DLF, Indian Hotels, Alembic Pharma and Bank Nifty, with reported results, Street targets and key levels, and the session is only 70 minutes long.
Latest update (Saturday, 7 November 2026, 10:00 AM IST): the Sensex gained 1,718 points to 81,028.03 and the Nifty 494 points to 25,030.35 on Friday, 6 November, with Bank Nifty up 2.27% to an eight-month high per 5paisa, even as US indices fell sharply on Thursday (Nasdaq -5.5%). On Friday in the US the Nasdaq rebounded 1.09% to 24,579.42 and the S&P 500 gained 0.31%, while the Dow fell 0.46% (TradingKey), after payrolls of 165,000 beat the 65,000 expected and traders raised bets on a December Fed rate hike. Asian markets on Monday and any weekend news are unknown at the time of writing, so the Muhurat opening can still differ from Friday’s Indian close.
Key takeaways
- Session: Sunday, 8 November 2026: pre-open 2:05-2:20 PM, normal trading 2:20-3:30 PM; Tuesday, 10 November is a holiday (NSE circular as reported).
- Market set-up: Nifty closed at 25,030.35 and Sensex at 81,028.03 on Friday, 6 November, after a two-day rally of about 4.5% for the Nifty (my calculation); breadth was weak.
- ICICI Bank: Standalone Q2 profit Rs 14,843 crore (+20.1%), NIM 4.18%, GNPA 1.20%; Angel One lists it among its Samvat 2083 picks (no target reported).
- Alembic Pharma: Q2 profit about Rs 335 crore (+81%), EBITDA margin 22%; a 20% upper circuit at Rs 965 on 4 November, then a further 10% rise on 6 November.
- DLF and Indian Hotels: DLF bookings Rs 3,800 crore (-12%) with net cash Rs 15,084 crore; Indian Hotels raised FY27 revenue growth guidance to 15-17%.

How to read this page: every target here is a brokerage view quoted as reported, with its date and source; none is mine. Targets are 12-month views, not Sunday’s session levels, and several were set when prices were lower. This is research and education and not investment advice; PositionalCalls.com is not a SEBI-registered research analyst or investment adviser.
In plain words: Muhurat trading is a one-hour special market session held on Diwali evening or afternoon to mark the start of a new Samvat year; trades are real and settle. A “watchlist” here means names worth reading about, not a list to buy. NIM is net interest margin, GNPA is gross non-performing assets, EBITDA is operating profit before depreciation, interest and tax, and an upper circuit is the maximum price rise the exchange allows in a day.
Data note: as of Saturday, 7 November 2026, 10:00 AM IST. Company figures come from press and data-platform summaries of the filings (Upstox, Kotak Neo, Business Today, Multibagg AI and NewsBytes); I did not open the BSE or NSE filings. Market data are from HDFC Sky, 5paisa and Kotak Neo for 5 and 6 November. I could not find a Bank Nifty closing level, an official NSE close for ICICI Bank, DLF, Indian Hotels or Alembic, or a Samvat number from NSE, and those gaps are marked. Derived numbers are marked “my calculation”.

Muhurat trading stocks 2026 are traded in a session that lasts 70 minutes, much shorter than a normal day, so each order competes in a thin window. The full rules, history and holiday notes sit in my Muhurat session guide; this page focuses on five names. Confirm the final timings on the NSE and BSE circulars, because the schedule can be revised. Trades settle like normal trades, so the capital gains tax on shares rules and any demat account charges apply to them as well.
Market set-up before the Muhurat trading stocks 2026 session: Nifty 25,030
Before the Muhurat trading stocks 2026 session, the Nifty closed at 25,030.35 (+2.01%) and the Sensex at 81,028.03 (+2.17%) on Friday, 6 November, after a two-day gain of about 4.5% for the Nifty (my calculation), but only 1,681 stocks advanced against 2,400 that fell.

Cite this table: PositionalCalls, “Muhurat Trading Stocks 2026 Market Set-up Table, as of 6 November 2026”.
The two-day rally followed the US midterm result and a fall in crude, with foreign investors buying about Rs 22,259 crore over Wednesday and Thursday (my calculation from Rs 7,284 crore and Rs 14,974.68 crore; FPI and FII labels differ between sources). On Friday the midcap index was flat and the smallcap index fell 0.82%, so the strength was narrow and led by large private banks. On Thursday the US Nasdaq fell 5.5%, the S&P 500 4.4% and the Dow 3.4%, and Korea’s Kospi fell 6% on Friday, per HDFC Sky. A rally of this size followed by a global fall is the context for any Muhurat position: the opening level is uncertain and the session is short.
The five Muhurat trading stocks 2026 names at a glance
The five names are ICICI Bank (Q2 profit +20.1%), DLF (bookings -12%, net cash Rs 15,084 crore), Indian Hotels (profit +22.7%, guidance raised), Alembic Pharma (profit +81%, 20% upper circuit) and Bank Nifty (eight-month high on 6 November); brokerage targets are shown as reported in the next section.

The list of Muhurat trading stocks 2026 came from you, and I have checked each name against the filings summaries and market reports rather than a model. Three names, ICICI Bank, Indian Hotels and Alembic Pharma, have clearly good reported quarters; DLF has a mixed one; Bank Nifty is an index and behaves differently from a company. A good quarter does not tell you what the price will do on Sunday, because the share price already reflects results published in October and early November.
ICICI Bank Q2 results FY27: profit Rs 14,843 crore and a fresh price high
ICICI Bank’s Q2 FY27 standalone profit was Rs 14,843 crore, up 20.1% from Rs 12,359 crore, with NII up 17.7% to Rs 25,339 crore, NIM down 12 bps to 4.18% and GNPA at 1.20%; the HDFC Sky ticker shows Rs 1,565 on 6 November, about 12% above the Rs 1,397 pre-results close (my calculation).
| ICICI Bank | Q2 FY27 | Q2 FY26 | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standalone net profit, Rs cr | 14,843 | 12,359 | +20.1% |
| Net interest income, Rs cr | 25,339 | 21,529 | +17.7% |
| Interest income, Rs cr | 49,110 | 41,757 | +17.6% |
| Net interest margin | 4.18% | 4.30% | -12 bps |
| Gross NPA ratio | 1.20% | 1.58% | -38 bps |
| Provisions for bad loans, Rs cr | 850.69 | 914.11 | -7% |
| Provision coverage ratio | 75.0% | – | As of 30 Sep 2026 |
Cite this table: PositionalCalls, “ICICI Bank Q2 FY27 Results Table, as of 6 November 2026”.
As one of the Muhurat trading stocks 2026 names, ICICI Bank shows profit growth with a lower margin: NII grew 17.7% while NIM slipped 12 bps, so volume growth did the work. Asset quality improved, with GNPA down 38 bps and provisions lower. Kotak Neo’s summary also lists consolidated profit of about Rs 16,333 crore (+22.3%) and CET1 of 15.97%, which I could not re-verify. On price, the 16 October close was Rs 1,397, the 52-week high quoted then was Rs 1,480 (20 July 2026) and the 52-week low Rs 1,187.60 (2 April 2026). The 6 November ticker of Rs 1,565 would be 5.7% above that earlier high (my calculation), but the 5 November and 6 November tickers on HDFC Sky do not reconcile exactly (Rs 1,548.90 and Rs 1,565 with a Rs 1,500 base), so treat both as snapshots, not closes. For the earlier quarter see my ICICI Bank Q3 results analysis, and for sector context the Banking category. Angel One lists ICICI Bank first among its Samvat 2083 picks, with no target or stop-loss reported (Outlook Money, 4 November); the eight brokerage targets sit in the Street targets table above.
DLF Q2 results FY27: bookings Rs 3,800 crore, net cash Rs 15,084 crore
DLF reported Q2 FY27 presales of about Rs 3,800 crore, down 12% from a year earlier (implying roughly Rs 4,320 crore then, my calculation), with net cash of Rs 15,084 crore after a Rs 1,980 crore dividend outflow, and five brokerages reported targets of Rs 740 to Rs 830, with Motilal Oswal at Buy and Rs 780, as reported.
| DLF | Q2 FY27 | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Presales (bookings), Rs cr | 3,800 | Down 12% year on year (NewsBytes; Kotak Neo) |
| Consolidated profit, Rs cr | About 1,301 (+11%) | Kotak Neo summary; one headline refers to a gain, check the filing |
| Revenue, Rs cr | About 2,298 | A second summary shows revenue from operations down about 23% |
| EBITDA, Rs cr | About 1,060 | Kotak Neo summary |
| Operating cash flow, Rs cr | About 1,858 | Kotak Neo summary |
| Net cash, Rs cr | 15,084 | After a Rs 1,980 crore dividend outflow |
| Pre-results close (15 Oct) | Rs 675 | Price after results not found |
| Revenue and EBITDA (second report) | Rs 1,261 cr (from 1,643); EBITDA Rs 23 cr (from 284) | Business Upturn; differs from the Kotak Neo figures, so the basis is unclear |
| Net operating cash flow, Rs cr | About 1,860 (+37% YoY) | JP Morgan via Business Upturn; ties to the 1,858 above |
| Brokerages (as reported) | Jefferies 830, CLSA 810, JP Morgan 800, MOSL 780, Nomura 740 | 19-22 October 2026 |
Cite this table: PositionalCalls, “DLF Q2 FY27 Results Table, as of 6 November 2026”.
DLF is the mixed name among the Muhurat trading stocks 2026 watchlist: strong cash and a large net-cash balance on one side, falling presales and a patchy revenue picture on the other. The realty index rose 3.52% on 5 November, but on 6 November sources disagree (+0.09% against a fall of 0.9% to 1.5%), and I found no DLF closing price for either day. A second report quotes revenue of Rs 1,261 crore and EBITDA of Rs 23 crore, which does not match the Kotak Neo summary, so the profit basis needs the filing; cash flow and net cash agree across both. Brokerage ratings are other firms’ opinions, not mine. For the previous quarter and sector background see my DLF Q3 results analysis and the real estate sector outlook.

Indian Hotels Q2 results FY27: profit +22.7% and guidance raised
Indian Hotels reported Q2 FY27 revenue of Rs 2,484.32 crore (+21.73%) and profit of Rs 349.49 crore (+22.7%), raised FY27 consolidated revenue growth guidance to 15-17% from 12-14%, and hit a 52-week high of Rs 794.65 on 22 October, 41% above its April low (my calculation).
| Indian Hotels (consolidated) | Q2 FY27 | Q2 FY26 | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Revenue from operations, Rs cr | 2,484.32 | 2,040.89 | +21.73% |
| Net profit, Rs cr | 349.49 | 284.92 | +22.7% |
| EBITDA, Rs cr | 788 | 653 | +21% |
| EBITDA margin (as stated) | 30.7% | 30.8% | -10 bps |
| EBITDA margin (my calculation) | 31.7% | 32.0% | -0.3 pts |
| Taj brand RevPAR, Rs | 14,500 | – | +28% |
| Room revenue, Rs cr | 1,115 | – | +22% |
Cite this table: PositionalCalls, “Indian Hotels Q2 FY27 Results Table, as of 6 November 2026”.
For Muhurat trading stocks 2026, the stated Indian Hotels margin of 30.7% does not match the stated EBITDA and revenue, which give 31.7% (my calculation), so the margin basis needs checking in the filing. The FY27 revenue guidance rose by 300 bps; Upstox quotes Nomura on mid-to-high-teens EBITDA growth and Goldman Sachs saying RevPAR beat estimates, and five brokerage targets are in the Street targets table. The stock hit its 52-week high of Rs 794.65 on 22 October against a previous close of Rs 753 (+5.53%), and I found no later price. ICICI Direct lists Indian Hotels as pick number 8 of 10 for Samvat 2083, with no rating or target reported (Outlook Money, 6 November).
Alembic Pharma Q2 results FY27: profit +81% and a 20% upper circuit
Alembic Pharmaceuticals (NSE: APLLTD) reported Q2 FY27 revenue of Rs 2,603 crore (+36%), EBITDA of Rs 578 crore (+78%, margin 22%) and profit of about Rs 335 crore (+81%), and the stock hit a 20% upper circuit at Rs 965 on 4 November, per Business Today.
| Alembic Pharma | Q2 FY27 | Q2 FY26 | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Revenue from operations, Rs cr | 2,603 | About 1,910-1,914 | +36% |
| EBITDA, Rs cr | 578 | About 325 | +78% |
| EBITDA margin | 22.2% | 17% | +5 pts |
| Profit before tax, Rs cr | 438 | 224 | +96% |
| Net profit (PAT), Rs cr | 335 (one source 330) | 185 | +81% (one source +74%) |
| US formulations, Rs cr | 1,003 (one source 910) | About 566 | +77% |
| India branded, Rs cr | 725 | 639 | +14% |
| API, Rs cr | 436 | 314 | +39% |
| Ex-US, Rs cr | 440 | 392 | +12% |
Cite this table: PositionalCalls, “Alembic Pharma Q2 FY27 Results Table, as of 6 November 2026”.
Among Muhurat trading stocks 2026, Alembic is the one with a data conflict: two sources disagree on US sales: Business Today gives Rs 1,003 crore and Multibagg AI gives Rs 910 crore. The four segments add to Rs 2,604 crore with Rs 1,003 crore and only Rs 2,511 crore with Rs 910 crore, so Rs 1,003 crore ties to the Rs 2,603 crore total (my calculation) and is used here. Profit after tax was 12.9% of revenue; the step from pre-tax Rs 438 crore to Rs 335 crore implies a tax and other share of 23.5% against 17.4% a year earlier (my inference). Quarter on quarter, revenue rose 21.1% and profit 93.6% (from about Rs 173 crore); half-year revenue was Rs 4,753 crore. The stock rose 20% to Rs 965 on 4 November, which implies a previous close near Rs 804 (derived, not reported); an upper circuit means the exchange stopped the rise, so the 4 November price does not show where buyers would have paid more. The stock rose a further 10% on 6 November (Business Standard), with no price given, and Motilal Oswal kept a Neutral rating with a Rs 990 target on 6 November, citing limited upside after Q2 beats against its estimates. Alembic Limited is a different listed company. For another pharma result in the same quarter see the Zydus Lifesciences Q2 FY27 results.
Bank Nifty and Muhurat trading stocks 2026: eight-month high, what it depends on
Bank Nifty rose about 3% on 5 November and 2.27% on 6 November to an eight-month high, led by private banks (the Nifty Private Bank index rose 3.2% on 6 November), so a position in the index is a position in a handful of large bank shares, and I could not find a verified closing level.
| Bank Nifty point | Detail | Source and note |
|---|---|---|
| 5 November move | About +3% | HDFC Sky (level not given) |
| 6 November move | +2.27%, eight-month high | 5paisa (level not given) |
| Nifty Private Bank, 6 November | +3.2% | HDFC Sky |
| Gainers named, 6 November | ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank (+3.19%) | Kotak Neo; HDFC Sky tickers |
| Net FII buying, 5 November | Rs 14,974.68 crore | 5paisa |
| F&O segment on 8 November | Marked open for Muhurat on NSE holiday page | As reported by Multibagg AI; confirm in the circular |
| Lot size and expiry | Not verified | Check the NSE contract specifications |
Cite this table: PositionalCalls, “Bank Nifty Before Muhurat Table, as of 6 November 2026”.
Of the Muhurat trading stocks 2026 names, Bank Nifty is not a company; it is an index of large banks, so its move on Sunday depends on a few heavyweight private banks such as ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank. That is why one earnings result or one global shock can move it. Index derivatives carry leverage, and a 70-minute session leaves little time to adjust. I give no levels, strikes or direction. Check the contract lot size, margin requirement and expiry with your broker, and confirm whether your segment trades in the session, because rules can differ for derivatives.
Street targets for the Muhurat trading stocks 2026 names (as reported)

The ranges are arithmetic on dated reference prices and do not predict a price on Sunday or later. Brokerages publish 12-month views, and the reference prices above come from different dates, so a gap that looks large can be small after the market has moved. For ICICI Bank, the targets were set when the stock was near Rs 1,397, so the Rs 1,565 ticker has already covered part of the distance; for Alembic, the only target found is a Neutral rating that sits near the 4 November price and that may sit below the price after the further 6 November rise (price not found). Check each rating on the broker’s own report, because summaries can mix up dates.
What brokerages put on their Muhurat lists (as reported)
On the Muhurat trading stocks 2026 lists, ICICI Direct’s ten Samvat 2083 picks include Indian Hotels but not ICICI Bank, DLF or Alembic, and Angel One’s eight picks include ICICI Bank but not DLF, Indian Hotels or Alembic; neither list reported targets or stop-losses, and neither mentions Bank Nifty.
| Brokerage list | Date | Includes from your five | Reported target or stop-loss |
|---|---|---|---|
| ICICI Direct (10 picks) | 6 Nov 2026 | Indian Hotels (pick 8) | None reported |
| Angel One (8 picks) | 4 Nov 2026 | ICICI Bank (pick 1) | None reported |
| Motilal Oswal (single name) | 19 Oct 2026 | DLF: Buy, target Rs 780 | Target Rs 780 |
Cite this table: PositionalCalls, “Brokerage Muhurat Lists Table (as reported), as of 6 November 2026”.
The other Muhurat trading stocks 2026 names on those lists are different companies, for example Kotak Mahindra Bank, Zydus Lifesciences, Info Edge and Adani Ports on the ICICI Direct list. These are the opinions of those firms, shown for context, and PositionalCalls does not endorse them. Brokerage Muhurat picks are usually meant for a longer holding period than the session itself, which the reports do not spell out, so check the source before reading them as a trade for Sunday.
Muhurat trading risks to read before you place an order
The main risks in Muhurat trading stocks 2026 are the short 70-minute window, thin liquidity and wide spreads, a 20% price band that can freeze a stock like Alembic, leverage in Bank Nifty derivatives, and a Monday gap after a weekend of global news, so size and order type matter more than the name.
- Short window. Normal trading runs 70 minutes after a 15-minute pre-open; use limit orders in the pre-open, because only limit orders are accepted after 2:10 PM.
- Liquidity. Volumes in a special session can differ from a normal day, so the price you see may not be the price you get; check the order book depth before sending size.
- Price bands. Alembic hit a 20% upper circuit on 4 November, which shows how large single-day moves can be; a stock at a band cannot be bought or sold beyond it.
- Derivatives. Index options and futures are leveraged, and Bank Nifty has just risen about 5% in two sessions (my calculation from the reported moves), so a reversal can be as fast.
- Global risk. US indices fell sharply on Thursday before a partial Friday rebound (Nasdaq +1.09%), and Kospi fell 6% on Friday; a stronger US jobs report raised rate-hike bets, and the weekend can change Monday’s open and the Muhurat opening.
- Settlement and tax. Muhurat trades settle and create tax events, so the same rules apply as on any trading day.
For the tax side read the capital gains tax on shares guide, and for the cost side the demat account charges page. The Muhurat timings and holiday notes remain the place for timings, and the Q2 results calendar lists other results coming in November.
Muhurat trading stocks 2026: what these facts say and what they do not
The facts show that three of the five names reported strong quarters and that Bank Nifty is at an eight-month high, but they do not show whether prices on Sunday will rise or fall, because results are already in the price and the session is short and uncertain.
What the numbers show: ICICI Bank profit +20.1%, Indian Hotels profit +22.7% with higher guidance, Alembic profit +81%, DLF cash-rich but with lower presales, and Bank Nifty up about 5% in two sessions. What they do not show: any price on Sunday, any official closing price for the four stocks, the Bank Nifty level, the reasons for DLF’s profit line, or whether a good quarter is already in the price. Treat the table captions on this page as the citable lines, and confirm each number on the exchange before acting. A single session is not a strategy, and a registered adviser can fit any name to your own risk and horizon.
Bottom line
Muhurat trading stocks 2026 means a 70-minute session on Sunday, 8 November, after a two-day rally of about 4.5% in the Nifty and a global sell-off in US stocks. ICICI Bank, Indian Hotels and Alembic Pharma reported strong quarters, DLF a mixed one, and Bank Nifty is at an eight-month high. Use limit orders, size small, confirm the numbers on the exchange, and speak to a registered adviser before acting.
